No, it's not that difficult. It all depends on what you want and how much $$ you're willing to spend. Most aftermarket wheels in the 30-35 0ffset range will work, with/without spacers. These wheels are basically generic, look good for a while, and that's it. Move up a class or more and you meet the wheels that don't want you to use spacers and now look at brake caliper clearance, large brake options, etc. In that category, you spend more $$ but have the option of very nearly specific offsets and wheel design. Move up a notch higher, $$$$ and you spec your offset and almost everything else. Wheel is made to your spec and that's it. That option is what I did on my Z. Took months to get the wheel, but I'm very happy with what I have.
